During the pandemic and lockdown period, when a strict curfew was imposed, I began photographing the blossoming trees around my house. The spring was particularly lush while human activities were suspended. The contrast between the darkness of the sky and the brightness of the plants, illuminated by street lamps, blurred the boundaries between night and day. The nocturnal landscapes look like submarine life, as if the Skye were merging into the sea. They echo our contemporary world. In this time of uncertainty, we still have the possibility to open our eyes.
Let us be captured by the pulsations of the night and imagine a new world.
