During the pandemic and lockdown period, while a strict curfew was imposed, I started to photograph the blossoming trees around my house. The springtime was particularly luxuriant while human activites ceased. The contrast between the darkness of the sky and the brightness of the plants, illuminated by the street lamps, blurred the borders between night and day. The nocturnal landscapes look like submarine life, as if the skye was merging into the sea. They resonate in echo with our contemporay world. They reveal the reversed side and open up a sensory world full of symbols. In this time of uncertainties, we still have the possibilility to open our eyes.
Let us be captured by the pulsations of the night to imagine a new world.
